A funeral for Dorothy May (Hailand) Zimmerman, 61, will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gardens Chapel in Fallon. Burial will follow at the Churchill County Cemetery.
Mrs. Zimmerman died Aug. 15, 2006, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. She was born Jan. 6, 1945, in Fallon to Lawrence and Frances Waterman.
She worked for the state of Nevada for 33 years, retiring in 2001.
She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, especially to the ocean, and taking pictures to record the lives of her grandchildren.
Mrs. Zimmerman was preceded in death by her father, and grandparents Alex and Bonita Baumann.
Among her survivors is her husband of 36 years, Robert Zimmerman of Carson City; mother of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Jeffrey Mabry and grandchildren Bailey Rose, Dana Douglass, Jeffrey and Jestine Mabry, all of Carson City; and adopted son, Joe Kenoyer, who is serving in the armed forces.
The Gardens Funeral Home in Fallon is in charge of arrangements.
