2006 Railroad Days horseshoe tourney

As part of the 2006 Portola Railroad Days celebration in Portola, Calif., there will be a horseshoe tournament on Sunday, Aug. 27 at the Portola City Park.

The tournament will begin at 10 a.m.

There is a $20 entry fee per person, with cash prizes for the top four teams. Limited to the first 60 entries (ages 12-100). Random draw for partners. Entry deadline is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Tournament drawings for partners begin at 9:45 a.m.

Double elimination, all games to 15 points, championship game to 21 points.

This is a fund raiser for the "Santa Train."
