Carson High graduate Darrell Rasner was activated by the New York Yankees on Friday and optioned to the team's Tripla A affiliate, the Columbus Clippers.

In three rehab starts in the Gulf Coast Rookie League for the Yankees and with the Class A Tampa Yankees, Rasner allowed four runs in nine innings while striking out 10 and walking two.

Rasner has been recovering from a shoulder injury he sustain while warming up in the bullpen while he was up with the Yankees. Rasner is hoping to be called up next week where he could be used out of the bullpen when Major League teams can expand their rosters.
