A fireman's badge, identification and a video tape stolen in a July storage theft were among several items allegedly recovered Friday from a unit rented to a Carson City woman in jail on another burglary.

Carson City Sheriff's Detective Dave Legros said the items were recovered Friday afternoon during a search of two storage units rented to Mary Reasoner, 30.

Reasoner and Michael Pierson, 41, were arrested Wednesday for allegedly burglarizing a storage unit on South Sutro Terrace. They, along with Reasoner's mother, were allegedly captured entering the complex just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday and making off with several items from the victim's unit. When officers went to speak with Reasoner and Pierson, they were allegedly found unloading the loot into Reasoner's mother's home on Nye Lane.

Reasoner and Pierson are suspected in at least 11 storage unit burglaries.

Detective Keith Bopko said in addition to storing items, Reasoner and Pierson are believed to have also pawned ill-gotten jewelry, tools and instruments.

Anyone who suspects they may have been a victim of a storage unit theft should call the detective division at 887-2020 ext. 1405.
