A private jet and a glider aircraft collided mid-air over Douglas County around 3:10 p.m. today, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Department.
The private jet, heading to Reno, made an emergency landing without functioning landing gear at the Carson City Airport.
Search and Rescue teams from Carson City, Douglas County and Lyon County are searching for the glider.
A pilot, co-pilot and three passengers were aboard the jet. The pilot was reportedly taken to Washoe Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
No other injuries have been reported.
