Linda Darlene Fitzpatrick, 64, a 26-year Washoe Valley resident, died Aug. 21, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was born June 8, 1942, in Portland, Ore., to Charles and Gertrude L. Steel Sain.
Before moving to Washoe Valley, Mrs. Fitzpatrick lived in Portland.
She attended Drain High School in Drain, Ore., and graduated from the nursing program at Western Nevada Community College in Carson City.
She was a registered nurse for the Nevada Department of Corrections.
She belonged to a 12-step recovery program and had 19 years of being clean and sober. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society.
Among her survivors are her husband of 38 years, Larry Fitzpatrick of Washoe Valley; son and daughter-in-law David and Tami Fitzpatrick of Silverdale, Wash.; son Brian Fitzpatrick of Portland; daughter and son-in-law Kathi and Milt Crutchfield of Oregon City, Ore.; daughter Shannon Caicedo of Battle Ground, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren.
Cremation took place at Truckee Meadows. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
