Robert E. Egan, 80, a 13-year Carson City resident, died Aug. 23, 2006, at his home.

Mr. Egan was born March 13, 1926, in Los Angeles, to Frederick Egan and Helen Bacon Egan.

He married Phyllis Drowden on June 4, 1948, in Los Angeles.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Egan lived at Lakewood, Calif.

He was a building inspector for the city of Los Angeles, and had served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.

He enjoyed collecting coins.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; daughters Linda Egan of Sylmar, Calif., and Susan Jones of California; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Karen Egan of Lakewood, Calif.; and granddaughter, Natalie Jones of California.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
