A head-on accident between a motorcycle and a van left one man dead Wednesday night and snarled traffic on Highway 50 for several hours.

At 9:42 p.m. Wednesday, a motorcycle driven by Christopher Leach, 32, of Dayton, was westbound on Highway 50 East on top of Dayton hill when he veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a van driven by Jody Mae Hernandez.
