What's open and closed for Labor Day holiday

• All public schools will be out of session in Carson, Storey, Lyon and Douglas school districts.

• All Western Nevada Community College campuses and learning centers will be closed.

• United States Postal Service offices will be closed nationwide.

• All area Senior Citizens Centers will be closed.

• The Carson City Sheriff's Department's front desk and fingerprinting will be closed. Officers will patrol as usual.

• The Carson City Library will be closed.

• Jump Around Carson will not be running.

• The Nevada State Museum will be open regular hours with regular rates.

• The Nevada State Railroad Museum will be open regular hours with regular rates.

• The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will be closed.

• All Lyon County public offices, including the clerks office and marriage bureau, will be closed.

• The Douglas County Public Library will be closed.

• All Douglas County public offices will be closed today, with the exception of the Marriage Bureaus in Minden (open 9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and at Lake Tahoe (open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.).

• The Douglas County Sheriff's Department front desk will be closed. Officers will patrol as usual.

• The Douglas Area Rural Transit (DART) bus system will not be running today.

• The Federal Reserve is closed for Labor Day. Because of this most banks will be closed as well; check your local branch membership number to find out.

• RTC RIDE in Reno will run on a Sunday schedule, and RTC INTERCITY service between Reno and Carson City will run on a normal weekday schedule. Sierra Spirit, the free downtown Reno bus service, will run on a normal Monday schedule. Call 348-RIDE for information.
