Sheriffs' Log

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Kurt Douglas Steele, a transient, was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony failure to appear and violation of a suspended sentence. No bail was set.

• Steven Robert Bauman, 27, a fast food restaurant general manager, was arrested at 3:48 a.m. at the Washoe County Jail on a warrant charging felony home invasion. Bail was set at $40,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• Commercial burglary report in the 300 block of South Carson Meadows at 4:41 a.m.

• Vehicle burglary report on Tonka Lane at 11:23 a.m.

• Vehicle theft report on College Parkway at 1:46 p.m.

• Threat report in the 1100 block of Saliman Road at 2:49 p.m.

• Coroner call in the 1700 block of Snyder Avenue at 3:06 p.m.

• Commercial burglary report in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway at 6:11 p.m.

• Graffiti on Janas Way and North Carson Street.

• Brush fire on Highway 95 Alternate at 4:52 a.m.

• Residential burglary report on Badger Street in Silver Springs at 8:38 a.m.

• Accident on Highway 50 Alternate in Fernley at 10:45 a.m.
