A home near Carson High School was raided Tuesday night by members of the Carson City Sheriff's SWAT and special-enforcement teams.

At least four people were detained and a dog killed during the 7 p.m. raid at 1524 Appaloosa Court, off Saliman Road, in which SWAT members threw a stun grenade through a front window before gaining entry. The circumstances of the dog's death were not available.

According to the Carson City Assessor's Web site, the home is owned by Brandon Denney, 22.

Sgt. Darrin Sloan of the Carson City Sheriff's Department said a search warrant was issued Tuesday after investigators received information alleging that Denney, his pregnant wife and another couple were dealing methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine from the home.

Further information on the raid and any arrests made was not available at press time.
