Ruthann Carnett, 77, a Carson City resident since 1988, died Dec. 5, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Carnett was born May 8, 1929, in Detroit to Walter and Janet Paton Schepansky.
She married Robert Carnett on Aug. 29, 1949, in Las Vegas.
She attended school in Detroit, then worked for the Detroit Street Railway for two years. She later worked for Pacific Bell Telephone Co. after moving to California.
Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Carnett lived in Northern California and in San Diego.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting and spending time with her family.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son, David Carnett of Carson City; brothers James Schepansky of Black Hawk, S.D., and Walter Schepansky of Tucson, Ariz.; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
