Josephine Malamas

Josephine Malamas a resident of Carson City and Reno since 1982 died Dec. 9, 2006, at Mountain view Evergreen Convalescent Home of Alzheimer's disease.

She was born March 5, 1916, in Chicago to Anton Dziubak and Rose Tallarac.

She married Peter John Malamas on July 8, 1934, in Chicago.

They moved to Pasadena, Calif., in 1951.

Before moving to Northern Nevada she lived in Dammeron Valley, Utah.

She enjoyed reading and her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982.

Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Diana and Brad Michaels of Carson City, Penny and Robert Martel of Las Vegas, Linda and Ed Beaver of Reno; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be by the Neptune Society in Reno. A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
