A memorial service for William G. "Bill" Harvey, 84, an eight-year Carson City resident, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Mr. Harvey died Dec. 9, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Morenci, Mich.

He married Phyllis Lucille Gilmore on Dec. 29, 1943, in Yuma, Ariz.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Harvey lived in Long Beach, Miss.

He was the foreman for a plumbing shop at Gulfport Veterans Administration Hospital in Gulfport, Miss.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1941-45 on a battleship in the Pacific Theater.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998.

Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Danny G. and Mary Lynn Harvey of Carson City; sister, Erma Mackey of Morenci; one grandchild; and nephew, Howard R. Conley.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
