A celebration of life for Dale F. Soukup, 79, a longtime Carson City resident, will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at 5775 Gentry Lane, Carson City.
Mr. Soukup died Dec. 12, 2006, at home. He was born April 18, 1927, to Enid Johnson.
He enjoyed music, fishing, camping, gold mining and the outdoors.
Mr. Soukup was an inventor and engineer. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Among his survivors are his daughters Claire, Dylan, Julia and Charlotte; sister Genevieve; brothers Norman and Mike; and 13 grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
