A memorial service for Robert Kaiser, 77, a 27-year Silver Springs resident, will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Silver Springs Christian Center, followed by a graveside service at noon at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

Mr. Kaiser died Dec. 15, 2006, in Silver Springs. He was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Joseph Kaiser and Mary Kilgore.

He married Reba Kaiser on Jan. 19, 1976, in Carson City.

He was a retired auto mechanic and machinist.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He enjoyed auto racing and building racecar engines.

Among his survivors are his wife of Silver Springs; daughters Peggy Christenson of Tracy, Calif., and Ginger Jones of Stockton, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
