A memorial service for Edward Eugene "Gene" Seals, 50, a seven-year Stagecoach resident, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Soul'd Out Ministries, at the corner of Apache Drive and Cimmarron in Stagecoach.
Mr. Seals died Dec. 21, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1956, in Phoenix, to Samuel Seals and Sylvia Wacker.
Before moving to Stagecoach, Mr. Seals lived in Reno since 1965.
He was a 1974 graduate of Reno High School, and had worked for the city of Reno for 14 years prior to moving to Stagecoach.
He enjoyed antique collecting, drawing, riding quads and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father Sept. 19, 1972.
Among his survivors are his mother Sylvia Seals of Stagecoach; grandmother Jessie Tormondson of Stagecoach; wife Yvette Seals of Las Vegas; sons Justin Seals of Reno and Joseph Seals of Las Vegas; daughter Kristina Lee Seals-Henderson of Reno; sister Sharon Seals-Crawford of Stagecoach; brothers and sisters-in-law Don and Tammy Seals of Reno and Alan and Connie Seals of Dayton; brothers Sam Seals of Stagecoach and Russel Balliet of Reno; two nieces; two nephews and one great-nephew.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
