Sheriffs' Log

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Nathan Scott Chavez, 23, a transient logger, was arrested at 8:13 p.m. Tuesday in the 3300 block of Butti Way on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, driving without a license and gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer. Bail was set at $1,319.

• A 26-year-old transient was arrested at 3 a.m. at Carson and Corbett streets on suspicion two counts of misdemeanor improper phone calls. Bail was set at $5,000.

• Jose Escobar Jr., 49, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony probation violation. No bail was set.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• Vehicle burglary reports in the 400 block of East Long Street and the 3600 block of South Carson Street.

• Threat report in the 4100 block of Lepire Drive at 8:11 a.m.

• Fraud report in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East at 8:49 a.m.

• Vehicle theft report in the 1700 block of North Carson Street at 9:55 a.m.

• Petty larceny report in the 2000 block of North Carson Street at 11:05 a.m.

• Accident with injury at Roop Street and Fairview Drive at 11:27 a.m.

• Vehicle-injury report in the 3200 block of Market Street at 2:59 p.m.

• Battery report in the 200 block of Harbin Avenue at 7:31 p.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest in the 800 block of Commerce Center Drive in Fernley at 1:50 a.m.

• Accident on Highway 338 in Smith Valley at 10:01 a.m.

• Accident on Highway 50 East in front of Dick's Sports Bar in Mound House at 11:26 a.m.

• Vehicle burglary report on Austin Drive in Mason Valley at 2:45 p.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Front Street in Fernley at 8:15 p.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Cremetti Lane in Mason Valley at 10:14 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• Traffic citation at 7:27 a.m. on Waltham Way.

• Traffic citation on Six Mile Canyon Road at 9:57 a.m.

• A blowing stop sign broke a vehicle window at 3:40 p.m. on North B Street.

• Traffic accident on State Route 341 between the summit and Lousetown Road at 7:17 p.m.

• Arrest made on Canyon Way at 10:18 p.m.
