A Mound House man is wanted for questioning in a Thursday morning bank robbery in which the bandit made off with about $1,100.
Carson City Sheriff's Detective Dave Legros said investigators are looking for Mitchel Charles Goodman, 41, in connection with the robbery of Bank of America on William Street.
According to Legros, a man walked into the bank lobby about 9:14 a.m. and slid a note to a teller which stated, "You're being robbed." He also indicated he had a weapon, but one was not seen, Legros said.
After the teller turned over the cash, the man fled the bank.
A customer in the bank's drive-through saw the man jump into a GMC Jimmy two-door truck and remove the flannel jacket he was wearing. She was also able to give investigators a partial license plate number.
About 11 a.m., a truck similar to the witness' description was found in a motel parking lot on Stewart Street.
"We have reason to believe Goodman has some knowledge about the bank robbery and we'd like to talk to him about it," Legros said.
Goodman is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
