Services and burial for Alfred F. Alfonso, 85, a five-year resident of Carson City, will be at Hawaiian Memorial Park, Hawaii, on March 3.

Mr. Alfonso died Jan. 31, 2006, in Carson City. He was born July 15, 1920, in Kalopa, Hawaii, to John Alfonso and Emily Ferreira.

He married Lucille in November 1943 in Honolulu.

Prior to moving to Carson City, he lived in Vancouver, Wash.

He worked for the city and county of Honolulu as a machinist. He belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 30, 1994, in Vancouver; and brother Bill and sisters Florence and Gloria, all of Hawaii.

Among his survivors are his sons Rodney A. Alfonso of Minden and Wayne J. Alfonso of Vancouver; sister Victoria Silva of Honokaa, Hawaii; brother George Alfonso of Auburn, Wash.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
