RENO 59, DOUGLAS GIRLS 35

Douglas lost to first place Reno without its top player, Monica Knight, who was unavailable. Knight will be available for the Tigers in their regular season finale against Wooster at home where Douglas can still clinch third in the Sierra League.

The Tigers (8-5 in league) can clinch the league's No. 3 seed with a win, which would mean a date at Reed for a first round playoff game.

"Us finishing third this year would be a huge accomplishment for this team," Douglas coach Werner Christian said.

"We're going to play hard with or without her," Christian also said about being without Knight. "The kids played extremely hard. Reno's very talented."

Jessica Waggoner led Douglas with nine points.
