A celebration of life for Thomas C. Morrison, 77, a Carson City resident since 1951 and a native Nevadan, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Mo & Sluggo's Bar and Grill, 110 W. Telegraph St.

Mr. Morrison died Feb. 9, 2006, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. He was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Dayton to Cecil Morrison and Victorine Sciarini.

He married Leslie A. Woodward in 1993 in Virginia City.

Prior to moving to Carson City, he lived in Virginia City. He spent two years at the University of Nevada, Reno.

He was a draftsman and designer for the Nevada Department of Transportation for 35 years. He retired in 1986. He was a member of the Carson City BPOE. He enjoyed walking, meeting people and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

Among his survivors are his son, Tim Morrison of Reno; daughter, Jan Carver of Minden; sister, Patricia Burgess of Reno; and one granddaughter.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
