Orin Roger Stride, 69, a seven-year Minden/Gardnerville resident, died Feb. 23, 2006, at his home. He was born April 21, 1936, in South Dakota to Orin Stride and Pearl Helgeson.
He married Sharon Dimmit on Nov. 6, 1976, in Woodland Hills, Calif.
Before moving to Northern Nevada, he lived in Las Vegas.
He graduated from the University of Southern California.
He worked in savings and loans for many years, retiring from Home Savings America. After retirement, he started his own business, National Data Corp., which dealt in the financial industry.
He enjoyed traveling.
He was preceded in death by his son Gannon Stride in 2004.
Among his survivors are his wife of Minden; son Gunnar of Woodland Hills, Calif.; daughters Tracy Stride of West Hollywood, Calif., and Shawna Rose of West Hills, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two nieces.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
