Fred Eckenrode, 92, a former Carson City resident, died Feb. 26, 2006. He was born Dec. 31, 1913, in Flat Rock, Ill., to Susie and William Eckenrode.
He married Grace Carpenter on Dec. 24, 1934.
Mr. Eckenrode worked for Lockeed, the National Oil Co. of Oklahoma and retired from Chevron in 1973 after 26 years of service.
Among his survivors are his wife; daughter Freda Freeman; one grandson; one granddaughter; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Forest Lawn - Cathedral City, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
