Jerry Von Dracek, 85, a 28-year Wellington resident, died Feb. 27, 2006, in Reno.
Mr. Von Dracek was born May 30, 1920, in Alexandria, La., to John and Mary Von Dracek.
He married Vivian on Aug. 30, 1947, in Mundelein, Ill.
Before moving to the area, he lived in Sepulveda, Calif.
He worked with Hughes Helicopters of Culver City, Calif., after having served in the Navy in World War II.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3630 in Wellington. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Von Dracek was preceded in death by his and wife.
Among his survivors are children Sandy Von Dracek and Patti Von Dracek, both of Carson City, and Craig Von Dracek of Hamilton, Mont.; and five grandchildren.
Cremation took place in Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley in charge of arrangements.
