Crime log

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• David Love, 21, a construction worker from Gardnerville, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Beverly Drive on suspicion of felony grand larceny. Bail was set at $25,000.

• Joseph Neil Wotisky, 36, a concrete worker from Carson City was arrested at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Bail was set at $26,132.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• A hit and run was reported in a parking lot in the 900 block of South Carson Street at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday.

• A 1999 Ford F250 pickup reported stolen form the 2200 block of Bristol Place at 5:55 a.m. was recovered in Douglas County at 12:57 p.m.

• A stereo was reported stolen Tuesday at 6:06 a.m. through a broken vehicle window in the 5800 block of Sheeps Drive.

• A white 1995 Nissan Maxima with Nevada plates, was stolen from the 1200 block of Camille Drive about 9 a.m. Tuesday. The owner left the vehicle running to warm up.

• A rock was thrown through a window in the 600 block of Mark Way at 12:07 a.m. Wednesday.

• A dishwasher, microwave and rolls of carpet were among items missing from a construction site in the 2000 block of Gentry Lane on Wednesday at 10:17 a.m.

• Battery report in the 400 block of Truck Inn Way in Fernley at 1:03 a.m.

• Drunken driving arrest in the 1000 block of Highway 50 East in Silver Springs at 5:53 a.m.

• Accident on Highway 50 Alternate in Fernley at 6:26 am.

• Accident on Highway 50 East in Mark Twain at 6:40 a.m.

• Vehicle theft at First and Gay streets in Silver City at 6:56 a.m.

• Destruction of property report in the 5000 block of Navajo Trail in Stagecoach at 9:11 a.m.

• Gas leak report in the 1300 of West Newlands Drive in Fernley at 9:50 a.m.

• Residential burglary report in the 100 block of Gay Street in Silver City at 12:54 p.m.

• Injury to motor vehicle in the 1600 block of East Newlands Drive in Fernley at 1:02 p.m.

• Accident with property damage on Highway 95 Alternate in Mason Valley at 2:38 a.m.

• Residential burglary in the 1300 block of East 10th Street in Silver Springs at 2:51 p.m.

• Shoplifting report at 7-Eleven in Fernley at 4:55 p.m.

• Battery report in the 5200 block of Desert Lane in Stagecoach at 10:26 p.m.

• Vehicle fire in the 1300 block of West Newlands Drive in Fernley at 11:39 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Herd of six or seven horses was spotted in the roadway on State Route 341 at 9:16 a.m.

• Hit and run on Interstate 80 In Lockwood at 2:12 p.m.

• A Silver City resident was giving a highway worker a hard time at 7:34 p.m. on State Route 341 about when the road would reopen.
