Everett 'Smokey' Clampitt

Everett "Smokey" Clampitt, 84, died of cancer Dec. 22, 2005, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

He was born Aug. 21, 1921, in Buhl, Idaho.

He was a masonry contractor.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Lola; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Clara Clampitt; daughter-in-law Cindy Clampitt of Carson City; stepdaughter and husband Linda and Doug Rank; brother and sister-in-law Chuck and Bonnie Clampitt; sisters and brothers-in-law Jessie and Dick Byrd, Brenda and Jim Pierce and Glenda and Jim Carter; and numerous grandchildren.

A family memorial will be held later at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.

The Veterans Administration hospital in Boise is in charge of arrangements.
