Inez F. Winfrey, 86, a three-year resident of Carson City, died Dec. 31, 2005, in Reno. She was born May 23, 1919, in Thomas, Okla., to James Frank and Nevi Mae Bailey.
She was a waitress for 50 years.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Hesperia, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis Walther, on Jan. 16, 1976.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Patty and Chris Barrett of Carson City; daughter Gina Merriott of El Toro, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Chester Chalk; grandchildren Bobby, Kimberly, Melody, Shawn, Timothy, Christopher, Sonia and Jay; 10 great-grandchildren; and family Therese and Anita.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
