Gordon Glenn Martin, 82, a 41-year resident of Carson City, died Jan. 2, 2006, at home. Mr. Martin was born June 19, 1923, in Duke, Okla., to Charlie and Leila Smith Martin.
Before moving to Carson he lived in Arizona.
He was employed by the State of Nevada Parole and Probation Department for 15 years.
He served 21 years in the infantry of the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a major in 1963.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a daughter, Linda.
Among his survivors are his wife of 53 years, Theresa E.; daughters Michelle, Monette, Joan, Theresa, and Cecilea; brother Clifford Martin; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service was held at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
