(Staff report) - A Carson City man was in custody Thursday after allegedly flashing a handgun following an argument Wednesday afternoon.

Cristian Omar Figueroa, 22, an unemployed fast-food worker, was booked into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of gross misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and two warrants for failure to complete community service and failure to appear.

According to the arrest report, Figueroa and the victim know each other through "common friends."

After exchanging words through their respective car windows near Sixth Street, Figueroa allegedly pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, chambered a round and pointed it at the victim. Figueroa then drove off, the report states.

Deputies contacted Figueroa in the 600 block of Division Street at 2:05 p.m. When an officer patted down Figueroa, he allegedly found a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun in his waistband and a methamphetamine pipe in his pocket.

More charges could be filed pending the victim's written statement.

Figueroa is being held on $14,632 bail.
