Investigators are looking into the death of an elderly Carson City woman who was found in her Clear Creek mobile home Wednesday.

Shirley Webb, 80, may have died as early as Dec. 30, Detective Cate Summers said. Her body was discovered at 2 p.m. Wednesday after a delivery driver could not get an answer at her door.

Summers said Webb was mostly bedridden and had difficulty getting around. Although the home still had gas service, the electricity had been shut off by the power company. The temperature inside was about 33 degrees when her body was found.

An autopsy was unable to determine Webb's exact cause of death, but it's possible she died from a heart condition coupled with hypothermia, Summers said.
