Airport Authority meets Tuesday at El Aero
The Carson City Airport Authority will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the El Aero Services Conference Room, 210 Arrowhead Dr.
Among topics to be covered are status of the master plan, modification of funding requests, status of undeveloped airport areas, and a long-term lease at the airport for the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Committee meeting on open-space advice
The Open Space Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Conference Room in Carson City Cooperative Extension Office, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 12.
Items include recommending adoption of the Envision Master Plan to the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors and recommending a work program for open-space acquisitions.
Redevelopment topic of city advisory meeting
The Redevelopment Authority Citizens Advisory will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Executive Conference Room in the City Manager's Office, 201 N. Carson St.
Their agenda includes discussion of urban code and urban design for downtown and potentially amending member duties.
Comments due Tuesday on master plan draft
Carson City's draft Comprehensive Master Plan is available for review and public comment. Copies can be downloaded at www.CarsonCityMasterPlan.com or can be obtained at the Planning Division office, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 62. Written comments regarding the current draft of the plan are due Tuesday.
'Cotton Patch Gospel' auditions announced
Proscenium Players Inc.'s final show of the 2005-06 season, "Cotton Patch Gospel," will hold auditions at 6 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Performance Hall of the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St.
The cast includes at least 30 roles with six to eight men and four to six women of all ages for singing roles. Also needed are four children ages 5-12. Auditions will consist of a prepared song of your choice of 30 seconds or less for those auditioning for singing roles. There will also be auditions for non-singing roles.
A copy of the script and vocal CD is available for checkout at the BAC office, 449 W. King St., for a deposit of $10. Production dates are weekends April 21-30. This production is directed by Jim DeZerga. Call 884-0580.

Junior Rangers sought
Children ages 6-12 who love winter fun and the great outdoors are invited to become a Washoe County Junior Snow Ranger.
Junior Snow Rangers is a free do-it-yourself winter nature program by the Washoe County Department of Regional Parks and Open Space. Self-guided hikes and activities help children learn how nature and humans cope with winter.
