Northern Nevada Development Authority is hosting an "Alphabet Soup" reception on March 11 from 4-7 p.m. at the NNDA office, 704 West Nye Lane, Suite 201.

The event will provide business representatives seeking resources of all kinds to visit with resource providers, including but not limited to representatives from: SBA, SCORE, UNR Small Business Development Center, Management Assistance Partnership, WNC, USDA, NV State Development Corporation and many more.

Vitamin Research Products, a dietary supplement manufacturer with a 30-year track record of helping individuals in their pursuit of healthy aging, announced that it has received an A+ rating in its annual audit from NSF International, reaffirming the company's status as a Good Manufacturing Practices facility. The company also recently earned an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Northern Nevada.

Vitamin Research Products is an employee-owned company located on Arrowhead Drive in north Carson City.

Ware Consulting will have a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 5 at 5:15 p.m. They are located at 300 S. Curry St., Suite. 6, across from Firkin & Fox. Refreshments will be provided.

Manny Schatz was elected a life director of the National Association of Home Builders at the association's International Builders Show Board Meeting in Las Vegas.

A national director has to attend at least two meetings per year for 10 years to become a life director and earn a permanent seat on NAHB's Board of Directors.

Ron Cassinelli has assumed the position of director of operations for El Aero Services. He has been with El Aero since 1995. Cassinelli most recently served the company as Chief Pilot.

The chief pilot position will now be assigned to John Kelly, who also manages the El Aero Fixed Base Operation in Carson City. John Kelly is a seasoned pilot in both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. He is an active member of the Carson City Airport Authority.

Dale Coleman, who has been with the company for more than 20 years, will assume the management of the helicopter flight department.

El Aero Services offers a variety of aviation services to the community including helicopter and fixed wing charter, flight instruction, aircraft maintenance and fueling and heated hangar storage.

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce's next monthly breakfast meeting will be at Finucci's Grand Central on March 3 at 7:30 a.m. The menu includes breakfast pizza along with more traditional breakfast items. Finucci's is located at 3965 South Carson St. in the Southgate Mall.

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce will have their next monthly mixer at Mott's Tavern on Wednesday, March 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. The mixer is sponsored by Tahoe Douglas LLC. Mott's is located in the Indian Hills Plaza, at Highway 395 South and Mica Drive.

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce welcomed two new members this month: France Photography, operated by Kelli France, and B.A. Den, a billiards hall on North Carson Street operated by Brian Anderson.
