A memorial service for Bernice Crossley, 80, a 30-year resident of Carson City, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Carson City.

Mrs. Crossley died Jan. 17, 2006. She was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Des Arc, Ark., to Edward Ellis and Lillian Conder.

She lived in Radcliff, Ky., for many years prior to moving to Carson City. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carson City. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and taking road trips in a motor home.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Frank; sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Kathleen Butler and Tom and Debbie Butler; daughter Debbie Hunt; brother Sam Ellis; sister Wanda Carfora; grandchildren Mark Butler, Maxine Council, Donny Hunt, Tommy Butler, and Jimmy Butler; step-grandchildren Katie, Ben, and Courtney; a great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
