IRS-trained volunteers will be available to assist in preparing tax forms and provide tax guidance and counseling for free. Electronic filing is available. Assistance runs from Feb. 4 through April 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the FISH classroom, 138 E. Long St., Suite C.

People should bring their 2005 tax package, which they received in the mail, W-2 forms, interest statements from banks, and a copy of last year's return and any other relevant information. New clients or those without last year's return must bring valid photo identification.

Appointments are preferred and may be made by calling the FISH office at 882-8448 during business hours. Walk-ins will be served on a "time available" basis.
