Newest Open Meeting Law Manual available

The 10th edition of the Nevada Open Meeting Law Manual has been released by the Nevada Attorney General's Office. The manual outlines which entities are required to follow the state of Nevada's open meeting laws, how the laws apply to those entities, and what the entities need to do to be in compliance with the law.

Several laws changed during the 2005 session of the Legislature, prompting the Nevada Attorney General's Office to update and reissue the Nevada Open Meeting Law Manual.

The open-meeting law not only applies to state of Nevada agencies, boards and commissions, but also to local jurisdictions (cities, towns and counties) as well. The latest edition of the Nevada Open Meeting Law Manual can be found on the Nevada Attorney General's Web site at http://www.ag.state.nv.us/oml/omlmanual.pdf.
