A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville for David Francis Sullivan of Indian Hills.

David died Jan. 16, 2006, in Reno. He was 14.

David was born May 25, 1991, to Donald Francis Sullivan of Indian Hills and Dora (Dee) Best of Reno.

He was home-schooled.

He enjoyed swimming at Lake Tahoe, Windsor waterslides, hockey and snowboarding.

David was a pianist and enjoyed playing for his family and friends. He received the Young American Award for his performance.

David was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church, where he was an altar server.

He is survived by his parents; half-sister, Joyce Sullivan; sister, Shannon Burk; brothers Bryan, Anthony and John; and stepmother Marion Peters.

A gathering for family and friends at the St. Gall Pastoral Center, 1343 Centerville Lane, will follow the memorial service.

To honor David's ambition to become a firefighter, donations may be made to the Jacks Valley Volunteer Fire Department, in care of the East Fork Fire Department, P.O. Box 218, Minden, NV 89423. Checks should be payable to the Jacks Valley Fire Department.

Arrangements were made by the Northern Nevada Cremation and Burial Society in Reno.
