Donald O. Ashurst, 76, a 27-year Gardnerville resident, died July 2, 2006 at his home.
He was born Oct. 11, 1929, in Phoenix to Louis Ashurst and Iva Greer.
He married Phyllis Wilslef.
He was the owner/operator of A&K Cable Co.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, bowling, golfing and cutting firewood.
Among his survivors are his wife, Phyllis Ashurst; sons Steven Ashurst of Coleville, Calif., and Gary Ashurst of Topaz Ranch Estates; daughter, Marilyn McKenzie of Woodfords, Calif.; brother, Wayne Ashurst of Reno; and six grandchildren.
