Martha Sue Earp Folin, 61, of Minden died June 27, 2006, at her home.

Mrs. Folin was born Sept. 20, 1944, in Forth Worth, Texas, to Frank Edward Earp and Mary Myra Clark Earp.

She graduated high school in Phoenix.

She was a radio disc jockey, a seamstress, and a former Texas Department of Corrections employee.

She was listed in "Who's Who Among America's High School Students 1960," and was Miss Coconino County 1962, leading to the Miss America pageant. Wyatt Earp was her great-great uncle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Shannon Nile Folin and brother Frank Roy Earp.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Shaw and James Lamb Sr. and daughter Sydney A. Folin all of Gardnerville; sister, Mary A. Calfee of Houston; one grandson of Gardnerville; five nieces; two nephews; and numerous extended-family members.

Cremation will take place at Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
