According to a press release from Lt. Robert Sherlock, the four were among other targets of a two-month investigation into Mexican nationals trafficking methamphetamine into Dayton from Carson City.
On June 26, when investigators stopped their vehicle after leaving a residence east of Dayton, deputies allegedly found the four adults and child, and eventually discovered two ounces of methamphetamine hidden in the bra of one of the female passengers.
The child is Rivera and Araiza-Vasquez's 19-month-old daughter. Additional charges of child endangerment are being sought through the Lyon County District Attorney's Office, according to Sherlock.
Rivera, Flores-Garcia and Araiza-Vasquez, who are all non-citizens, were booked into the Lyon County Jail. Velazco was transported to the Carson City Jail.
