Two arrested in Mound House on drug possession, child endangerment charges

Two Mexican nationals were arrested Wednesday in Mound House after a two-week investigation by the Lyon County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Division resulted in the seizure of more than 72 grams of methamphetamine.

Abraham Valladolid, 25, and Artemia Gomez-Flores, 18, both of Carson City, were arrested on suspicion of trafficking in a controlled substance, transport of a controlled substance, allowing a child to be present during the commission of a violation involving controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, and child endangerment.

Two children, ages 2 and 5 months, were present when Valladolid and Gomez-Flores were arrested. Bail has been set at $547,500 for both.

The children were released to the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services.
