Golf event for CHS soccer Mexico trip

The second annual Carson High Soccer Golf Tournament will be held on Aug. 5 at Eagle Valley Golf Course.

The four-person scramble event will tee off at 9 a.m. Cost is $85 per person. Funds raised will help send both the CHS boys and girls varsity soccer teams to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. The trip is a joint effort of the Carson City School District and the American School of Puerto Vallarta.

Athletic office open, physicals offered

The Carson High athletic office will be open from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday. Physicals for athletes for $5 will also be offered from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 7 at Carson High's Morse Burley Gym.
