BAC holds membership meeting this evening

Class of '66 holds 40-year reunion on July 28-29


The Carson High School Class of 1966 will hold its 40-year class reunion July 28-29. July 28 is a no-host cocktail party at 7 p.m. at the Old Globe Saloon on South Curry Street. Basketry discussion at Nevada State Museum


Mary Lee Fuklerson will present a discussion titled "Basketry: Its Roots and Wings" as part of the Nevada State Museum's exhibition "Interwoven: Visions of the Great Basin Basketmakers" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nevada State Museum, 600 N. Carson St. Call 687-4810.




Mentor training at WNCC


The Mentor Center of Western Nevada will be hosting training for anyone interested in becoming a mentor. The first three-hour training session will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Reynolds Building, Room 113 of Western Nevada Community College's Carson City campus, 2201 W. College Parkway. State and county retirees to meet this morning


The State of Nevada Employees Association of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees retirees will be meeting at 9 a.m. today at the SNEA/AFSCME office on the corner of Roop and Robinson streets.


This meeting is open to all state retirees, members and nonmembers, and active employees about to retire.


Weekly dog-obedience classes start Tuesday


There will be a series of classes on dog obedience by instructor Guy Yeaman starting Tuesday and running for six-weeks, every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Cost for the session is $75. For information or to register, call 265-4530.

Contraband mixes Celtic and bluegrass at Lazy 5
