A memorial service for Loretta Grace Nauman, 94, a Carson City resident since 1945, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St.

Mrs. Nauman died June 30, 2006 in Carson City. She was born July 27, 1911 in Wray, Colo.

She had a bachelor's degree and did graduate work in education at Colorado State College in Greeley.

She was an elementary school teacher in Dresslerville and at Fremont Elementary School and the former Martha Gleason Elementary School. She was later the principal at the Corbett Elementary School.

She belonged to the First Presbyterian Church and Chapter N of the PEO.

She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by seven older siblings.

She is survived by her friends Vi Burley and Howard Anderson.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.

Memorial donations may be made to the John and Grace Nauman Foundation to benefit Carson City students and organizations.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
