The death of a woman found in her east Carson City home Thursday night remains under investigation, but there is no indication of foul play, the sheriff said Friday.

"An autopsy conducted (Friday) morning could not determine a cause of death, but there were no injuries to the body," Sheriff Kenny Furlong said. "We have a report that this was a suicide, but we are not able to confirm it at this point. We are awaiting the results of toxicology."

Officers were called to the home in the 2500 block of Jarbidge Court off Northridge Lane about 10 :30 p.m. after the woman was discovered by her roommate who had just returned home from an out-of-town trip.

The two had moved to the Carson City together from Florida in December, according to Lt. Bob White.

Furlong said the woman's name is being withheld until her family can be notified.
