A funeral service for Colin Ashmore, 46, a 19-year Carson City resident, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mr. Ashmore died July 6, 2006, in Houston. He was born Sept. 13, 1959, in Houston to Sam Ed Ashmore and Joyce Ann Ashmore.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Ashmore lived in Auburn, Ala.
He had a master's degree in forestry engineering and was an engineer.
He belonged to the SAE fraternity and was a member of the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Among his survivors are his parents; his wife, Claudia Yvette Ashmore; son, Colin Orion Ashmore; daughter, Samantha Nicole Ashmore; brothers and sisters-in-law Scott Alan and Tracy Lane Ashmore, Kendall Robert and Melody Lynn Ashmore, and Nick Edwin and Shandra Marie Ashmore; and six nieces and nephews.

Heights Funeral Home in Houston is in charge of arrangements.
