The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• David Len Powers, 53, a custodian from Carson City, was arrested at 10 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of South Curry Street on suspicion of felony child abuse and misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $43,132. He allegedly choked his girlfriend's 16-year-old son, leaving bruises.


• Matthew Lawrence Kump, 21, a satellite installer from Carson City, was arrested at 10:35 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Jeanell Drive on suspicion of felony eluding, misdemeanor drunken driving, reckless driving and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $4,996.


• A 19-year-old dishwasher from Mound House was arrested at 3 p.m. at Fairview and Edmonds drives on suspicion of misdemeanor driving without a valid license. Bail was set at $187.


• Two 19-year-old Carson City men, both unemployed, were arrested at 7:41 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor threats. Bail for each was set at $632.


• A 20-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 8:30 a.m. Monday on Rand Avenue on a warrant for suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court. Bail was set at $256.


• A 21-year-old unemployed Sun Valley woman was arrested at 1 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on two warrants charging misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail was set at $1,865.


• A 29-year-old nurse from Carson City was arrested at 12:39 a.m. Monday in the 3800 block of Highway 50 East on a warrant for suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court. Bail was set at $500.


The following are some of the 356 calls to which deputies responded Friday, Saturday and Sunday:


• Five vehicles in a lot in the 2700 block of Highway 50 East were burglarized sometime Thursday night.


• Fight in the 1600 block of Brown Street at 1:15 a.m. Friday.


• A restaurant in the 200 block of East Winnie Lane was burglarized sometime Friday night.


• Vehicle burglary report in the 3100 block of Wingate Way at 10:26 a.m. Saturday.


• A wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Lindsay Lane and someone was using the credit cards at 12:21 p.m. Saturday.


• A white, 1987 Dodge Dakota was reported stolen from the 800 block of Stafford Way at 4:48 p.m. Saturday.


• Hit-and-run accident in the 1800 block of East Long Street at 9:16 p.m. Saturday.


• An attempted purse snatching in the 4000 block of Sweetwater Drive at 5:07 a.m. Sunday.


• A report of slashed tires in the 900 block of East Telegraph at noon on Sunday.


• Windows were reported broken at 1:29 p.m. Sunday on a vehicle in the 3000 block of Melanie Lane.


• Graffiti in the 300 block of Hot Springs Road at 2:54 p.m. Sunday.


• Fight in the 2300 block of North Carson Street at 7:39 p.m. Sunday.


Storey County


The following are some of the 18 calls to which deputies responded Sunday:


• Traffic citation for passing over the double yellow lines on State Route 341 at 11:14 a.m.


• Traffic citation for driving on a suspended license on USA Parkway in Lockwood at 2 p.m.


• Accident on State Route 341 at 3:12 p.m.


• Teens home alone needed help getting out of toy handcuffs on Willie Way at 5:14 p.m. The deputy had to use a screwdriver.


• Traffic citation in the 500 block of East Mill Street at 5:16 p.m.


• Traffic citation for a stop sign violation at 5:41 p.m. on Mill Street.


• An intoxicated person reported his cat was bitten by a rattlesnake in the 1600 block of Canal Road at 9:06 p.m.
