A celebration of life for Krista J. Wickerham, 25, a 16-year Minden resident, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Road in Gardnerville.
Ms. Wickerham died July 17, 2006, at her home. She was born May 8, 1981, in Seoul, Korea, to Richard E. Wickerham and Jeannie Buck.
Before moving to Minden, Ms. Wickerham lived in San Jose, Calif.
She was a 2000 graduate of Douglas High School, and had received her honorary bachelor's in education from the University of Nevada, Reno on July 14, 2006.
She taught at St. Johns Children's Center in Reno and had worked for Information Technology Integrators in Reno.
She was a member of the Mount Rose Evangelical Free Church in Reno and attended Carson Valley United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Living Stones with Grace Community Church in Reno.
She enjoyed traveling, music, drama and playing with her niece and nephews.
Among her survivors are her parents; grandmother, Vada Buck of Bishop, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Kimberlie and Darren Jones of Gardnerville; nephews Andrew and Christian Jones; niece Brooke Jones; and two aunts and uncles.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory and inurnment at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
