Why I am running: As a District Judge since 1997, my background in domestic violence; juvenile delinquency; custody; child support and divorce will add another dimension to the Supreme Court Bench. Family law deserves a place on the Supreme Court just as much as criminal law, civil/contract law and other special interest areas.

I have experience in the administration of the court and state legislation. I have experience in all three branches of government and will keep each branch separate from the other.

I know that courts are not responsible for the creation of new law, but instead for the fair interpretation of existing law. I would like to see an appellate court developed in Nevada to stop the Supreme Court from acting as its own appellate court. I believe the court should act with restraint when a case calls for an interpretation of constitutional provisions alleged to be in conflict.
