Religious or civic organizations you belong to: Fostered the expansion of Nevada's "Toys for Tots" program into rural Nevada and oversaw the merger of grocery stores in southern Nevada, ensuring that stores in poorer neighborhoods remained open.

Reason for running: I will promote fiscally responsible policies, so the State of Nevada can invest in its people and infrastructure, ensuring a strong economy and a strong education system. Nevada families deserve fair financial markets, accountability from our state government, and responsible use of our tax dollars.

I will work with other state officials to create a sound financial environment for all of us. I support the Millennium Scholarship, the prepaid tuition plan, and the College Savings plan because we must do everything we can to educate our children.
